Applied Research (AV)
This is a programme of the Ministry of Education for the support of the applied research at the universities. The project proposals are examined by a board of reviewers during the initial meeting. The board of opponents consists of the head of the department of the faculty, the vice-dean of the faculty for research, the vice-rector of the university for research as well as a representative from the industry and the representative from the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic.
The requirement is to demonstrate the project's practical output towards the industry. Accepted projects are then reviewed permanently during their duration (once per a year) and at the end of the project duration. Projects are not limited to any special topic.
